It's hard to anticipate and replace this member at short notice. Personally I prefer Thursdays for a deadline. This way you have 3 more days to finish, Thursday to demo and sign off and Friday to fix some minorities. Tuesday to thursday is a nice range to deliver in. Otherwise good points indeed, it's a common mistake to see project deadlines in their own little "project vacuum" but in reality, lots of factors can influence what makes a deadline good or bad. Harsh Monday deadlines - apart from being a sucky day in general ;) - often cause weekend work, which is worse than one Friday evening ruined :) Other than that, good points!
